Hello Everyone ,
Myself Denzil Noronha, previously worked as Territory Manager of CIPLA-Spectracare team-2, here to brief you about NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy)
As we find many people in our society, family and in our friend circle, those who are addicted to tobacco , who are willing to come out of the addiction but often fails, this is due the excessive consumption of nicotine, nicotine receptors are generated in human body, these receptors are present in the every cell of our system, when the amount of nicotine in the bloodstream gets down (as our blood is filtered in kidney nicotine would be thrown out through urine) these nicotine receptors gets activated which generates the need of nicotine in human body so the smoker prefer to smoke cigarette or chew tobacco more and find very difficult to quit
So my today’s brief on this NRT should be an useful material for the people who willing to quit the tobacco consumption
There are many brands available in market which are available in form of chewing gums for some example Niccorate , Nicogum , Nicotex etc.. these are available in 2mg and 4mg strength.People who smokes less than 20 cigarettes a day may consume 2mg and 4mg for those who smokes mores than 20 cigarettes a day
How to use?
First chew the gum slowly until you feel there is tingling taste of nicotine, after sometime just byte it once or twice (should not byte more than twice) then park the gum between your teeth and cheek, then nicotine gets released which gets absorbed through saliva after once the taste fades chew it again then byte it and park it between the other side of teeth and cheek,
These chewing gums contains nicotine and nicotine receptor inhibitors , nicotine in the gum make the person to adjust himself with nicotine without smoking cigarettes or chewing tobacco, and the nicotine receptor inhibitors in the gum will innibits the nicotine receptors slowly which are present in our body which generates the need of nicotine.
The course of the therapy normally takes upto 12 weeks. In First week person has to chew 12 gums a day, and in second week 11 gums a day, and third week 10 gums a day…., like this week after week they can reduce the number of gums one by one., when ultimately it comes to 12th week they can chew one gum a day,
The criteria of reducing the number of gums one by one by week after week makes person to adjust himself with lower amount of nicotine and he can quit smoking after 12th week at the end of the therapy .
So dear friends kindly share this topic to those in your family or in your friend circle those who are willing to quit cigarette and tobacco chewing. I hope you liked my article I am looking forward for your reviews and opinions about the article
Regards
Denzil Noronha
